Costs involved with a website
When having a website designed, it is important to know what other services you will be able to get and how much they will cost. The design of your website may be cheap, but if the other services attached to your website are not cheap, then you could find yourself paying quite a lot of money for your new site. Please note: I include the items below in my complete package, but sometimes website designers don't include these items and will charge for items separately.
Below are some of the main services that are involved with having a website (and that I include as standard).
Website design (included in the complete package price)
Of course this is the main part of it, but there are other services which are included which aren't always.
Search engine optimization (included in the complete package price)
As standard I will program the website so that it has a good chance of appearing in organic search engine results and submit the site to the main 3 search engines. This can often be extra to the price.
Website Name (included in the complete package price)
The website name, if you do not have one, can be purchased by me. I do not charge anything to buy a name for you. If you need your name stored, I will just charge to host (store) your website name in an all-in low price.
Website Hosting (included in the complete package price)
To allow your new website to be viewed on the internet, it has to be 'hosted', which just means the files of the website are stored on a web server. If I need to host your website (which is likely if it's a new site) then that will cost a low yearly fee.
Website Maintenance (included in the complete package price)
What happens after I design your website? Well, I would be happy to maintain your website, which means looking after it, dealing with emails to the 'webmaster' (me), etc. This is included in my complete website package price.
Email (included in the complete package price)
This I will provide free with your website. If your website name is yoursite.co.uk, then your email will be @yoursite.co.uk. For example, mike@yoursite.co.uk. Included in the price of the design is the setup and management of up to 10 email addresses. I will then provide you with instructions and passwords on how to set up your email to use in Outlook or another mail program of your choice. If you just want one or more email addresses of your choice and no website, then I can do that too.
Prices
You'll find that having a website designed by me will not be expensive, and you will have a website programmed to a high standard, and it will be accessible to disabled users
